Volunteers Needed for Hurricane Harvey Relief Effort

As residents of Texas and the gulf coast region continue to deal with the ongoing devastation brought about by Hurricane Harvey sources of support such as the American Red Cross are continuing to put out the call for volunteer assistance to provide help to those in need.

Twenty-one Red Cross volunteers from the Dakotas region have already deployed, but more help is needed. The American Red Cross is offering an upcoming volunteer training class for those who would like to provide help to those in need. Again, the American Red Cross volunteer training class will be held on Monday, September 4th with the session to run from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. The training site is located at the Sioux Falls American Red Cross office located at 808 North West Avenue. To register for the class you can go online to www.hurricaneharvey.eventbrite.com. Attendees are required to have a valid driver’s license.
