A new business will soon be opening its doors to the Milbank community and the surrounding area.
Whetstone Home Center will be hosting a grand opening celebration this coming weekend at their new store location at 513 West 4th Avenue in Milbank.
The celebration will kick off this Thursday, October 5th with various vendor demonstrations planned throughout the day. A knife sharpening demonstration is also planned from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. as well. Rootbeer floats and cake will also be served that day from 11 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
On Friday, October 6th, a knife sharpening display will again be held from 9 until 4 with a screw drive-in contest to take place throughout the day as well. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. that day to mark the official opening of the new business. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. featuring Backdoor BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches for those attending.
Saturday, October 7th will be “Kids Day” with inflatables being offered from from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., as well as ring toss games from 10 until noon.
Those attending will also have the opportunity to register for great prizes as well throughout the three day event.
Again, the Whetstone Home Center is located at 513 West 4th Avenue in Milbank. The store is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
