City leaders and economic development officials in Milbank are reaching out to the public in an effort to better learn what it takes for Milbank to be a successful and thriving community well into the future. A survey is currently available for people to respond to in an effort to get a better idea of how the community is actually perceived from a local point of view, as well of the point of view of someone who lives outside the community. In an effort to gather further input into the matter a special listening post session was set up on Wednesday, November 1st at the Seehafer Building located on Main Street in Milbank. Although the survey process itself is still in its preliminary stages, the type of input received thus far has revealed some interesting results as Bobbie explains…

Hugh Weber, who actually was born and raised in Milbank offers his thoughts on the input received from the survey, as well…

In order for the survey to achieve the best possible results, Hugh says additional input is needed from people who come from different age groups or backgrounds than what the survey has revealed thus far…

Hugh says any information received from the survey will be used for future research toward improving the greater Milbank community…
