Minnesota Woman Identified as Person Seriously Injured in Rear-End Collision in Kranzburg

The South Dakota Highway Patrol has identified the person who was seriously injured in a two vehicle read-end collision yesterday (Tuesday) on U.S. Highway 212 in Kranzburg.

Thirty-three-year-old Danielle Preuss of Willmar, Minnesota was traveling eastbound on Highway 212 shortly before noon when her car struck the rear-end of a large box truck, which was preparing to make a left-hand turn onto Kranzburg Avenue.

Preuss was pinned inside her vehicle and had to be freed by local emergency response crews.

She was taken to Prairie Lakes Healthcare System in Watertown with serious, non-life threatening injuries.

The truck driver, a 49-year-old man was not injured.

The accident remains under investigation and charges are pending.
