A bond hearing was held today (Tuesday) in Codington County Circuit Court for a Watertown man charged with First Degree Manslaughter.

Thirty-year-old Donald Vincent Herron is accused of shooting his roommate, 30-year-old Seth Murray, in the head with a handgun last week in a home they lived in on the city’s northwest side.

Investigators believe alcohol may have been a factor in the shooting.

The presiding judge modified bond for Herron to $100,000 cash or surety.

Herron remains in the Codington County Detention Center with his next court appearance scheduled for this coming Friday.
