A section of highway in Deuel County was closed for a time Friday after a semi trailer-truck flipped over onto its side completely blocking the roadway.
The Deuel County Sheriff’s Office says the accident occurred shortly after 10 a.m. along a stretch of South Dakota Highway 28 between Toronto and Interstate 29.
A portion of Highway 28 from 473rd Avenue to 474th Avenue was closed for several hours because of the accident, but was reopened to traffic by mid-afternoon.
No injuries were reported.
The Deuel County Sheriff’s Office, Deuel County Ambulance, Toronto Fire Department, South Dakota Highway Patrol and Performance Towing all assisted at the scene.
