Milbank School Board Discusses Numerous Business Items at February Meeting

The Milbank School board dealt with a very busy agenda during their regular monthly meeting held earlier this week. During the meeting, it was noted that February has been designated as “School Board Recognition Month” for the state of South Dakota with February 9 – 13th being designated as “School Board Recognition Week.” Milbank School Superintendent Tim Graf says the Milbank School District is among those taking time to recognize local school board members for their hard work and dedication to the field of education…

The board also reviewed an inquiry received from the Wilmot School District regarding the possibility of entering into a co-op agreement with the Milbank District for the sharing of extra-curricular activities…

The results of the mechanical and electrical review at Koch Elementary School were also presented to the board, as well, as Superintendent Graf explains…


In a related matter, Superintendent Graf says the board also accepted bids for future tuck pointing work being proposed along the north side of the middle school/high school building…

The board also approved some proposed changes for the district’s “Out of School Time” program as Superintendent Graf explains…

The board also, with regret, accepted the resignation of Joyce Hora as a math and science teacher at Milbank High School effective at the end of the current school year…

The Milbank School Board will hold their next regular meeting on Monday, March 12th in the
high school board room.
