Fresh Snowfall Blankets Northeastern South Dakota

new-snow

Residents of northeastern South Dakota are digging out from one of the more notable snow events recorded thus far, this season.

Snowfall amounts, in general, ranged from three to five inches across the regional area. Although we have not received a whole lot of snow, thus far, this winter, lets not forget it’s still only February and there’s still plenty of time to catch up in that regard. What lies ahead from that perspective, though, remains to be seen.

In Milbank, a snow alert was issued by the city office early this (Tuesday) morning advising residents to remove their vehicles from city streets in order to allow local snow removal operations to take effect.

The Milbank School District also started classes an hour late this (Tuesday) morning after our
most recent snowfall.

A reminder, don’t put away your snow shovels just yet. The national weather service says we can look forward more snow on Thursday of this week with snowfall amounts generally expected to range from one to three inches across the regional area.
