Milbank City-School Announce Vacancies on Governing Boards

The City of Milbank has announced vacancies on two local governing boards for the upcoming election.

There are four vacancies up for election on the Milbank City Council, along with two other positions on the Milbank School District Board of Education.

City council positions that are up for election include current mayor Pat Raffety; Ward 1 councilman Steve Wiener; Ward 2 councilman Jason Redmond; and Ward 3 councilman Lane Lindquist. Each is a four-year term. Nomination petitions may be taken out beginning Thursday, March 1st and can be filed at the city office between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The Milbank School Board is seeking candidates to fill positions currently occupied by Amy Thue and Sheila Bien. Each is a three-year term. Nomination papers may be taken out beginning Thursday, March 1st and can be filed with the school business manager between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The filing deadline for both boards is Tuesday, March 27th.
