Winter Weather Makes Return Visit to South Dakota

As we begin our first full week of March for the year 2018 many areas of South Dakota and the upper Midwest are experiencing another round of wintry weather to start off the week. Many area schools already made the decision to cancel classes before the day began this (Monday) morning, but for those who did have to venture out things were a little bit interesting to say the least from an overall precipitation perspective. Many areas throughout eastern South Dakota experienced rain and sleet early this (Monday) morning before the precipitation later changed over to snow, which is expected to continue into Tuesday according to Ryan Lueck, a forecaster with the National Weather Service Office in Aberdeen…

Although snow will be heavy at times, there will be periodic breaks in the precipitation at times, as well, as Ryan explains…


Once we get past Tuesday, the remainder of week looks to be relatively dry and seasonal, as well, from an overall temperature standpoint.
