The American College of Health Care Administrators has presented Good Samaritan Society – Deuel County in Clear Lake with the Eli Pick Facility leadership Award for 2018. Only 11 percent of skilled nursing facilities across the nation are presented with this honor.

Qualifying factors for the award include information pulled from the Centers for Medicine & Medicaid Services on occupancy, average quality measurement scores and number and severity of health, fire safety and complaint surveys.

The facility leadership award was introduced by one of ACHCA’s most revered leaders, the late Eli Pick, in 2008. Eli worked with colleague John Sheridan of eHealth Data Solutions to develop an awards program that uses data-driven criteria to objectively identify high-performing skilled nursing facilities and the leaders who make them excel. Administrators of those high-performing SNF’s are celebrated and honored during ACHCA’s national awards ceremony held at the annual Convocation and Exposition each spring.

Since 1966, Good Samaritan Society – Deuel County has been providing rehabilitation/skilled care, assisted living and senior apartments to seniors in Deuel County. Along with exceptional standards of care and compassion caregivers, a wide range of services and amenities are offered for residents.
