Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle in Watertown Identified

Law enforcement authorities in Watertown have released the name of a pedestrian who was seriously injured when he was struck by a vehicle earlier this week.

Fifty-five-year-old Galen Conkle of Watertown sustained life-threatening injuries in the accident, which occurred late Tuesday evening on West Highway 212 near the Watertown Family Aquatic Center.

Conkle was airlifted to a Sioux Falls hospital immediately following the accident.

The vehicle involved in the accident was driven by 19-year-old Kevin Fishbach of Watertown.
Fishbach has been charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Underage Purchase or Possession of Alcohol, and Driving While Revoked.
