Officials in Codington County say a woman was injured late yesterday (Monday) morning when she was run over by a piece of farm equipment at a residence near Watertown.

The Codington County Sheriffs’ Office reports that emergency response crews were called to a farm located at 17075 446th Avenue just before 11:30 a.m.

Investigators say 66-year-old Lawrence Schultz was pulling an empty grain trailer when he accidentally backed over the woman, who was identified as 55-year-old Annette Schultz. Schultz was dragged for a short distance before the trailer came to a stop.

Schultz was taken to Prairie Lakes Healthcare System in Watertown with what appeared to be non life- threatening injuries.
