A Watertown man who allegedly assaulted another man during an altercation outside a Watertown bar last month now faces a murder charge after the man recently died at a Sioux falls hospital.

Twenty-eight-year-old Jason Endres appeared in court yesterday (Tuesday) on an amended charge of second degree murder and an alternate charge of first degree manslaughter.

Endres is accused of fatally injuring 40-year-old Jeremy Buol during an early morning altercation on October 29th outside the South Fork Lounge.

Buol was initially taken to Prairie Lakes Healthcare System in Watertown before later being flown to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls where he died on November 1st.

Endres is scheduled to undergo a preliminary hearing in Codington County Court on December 5th.

In light of the new charges, bond for Endres was set at $25,000.
