
A Summit man has been formally accused of sexually abusing a girl under the age of 12.
Thirty-eight-year-old Desi Campbell was indicted in October, according to a news release from the
U.S. Attorney’s Office. Campbell recently pleaded not guilty to one count of felony aggravated sexual abuse of a child.
According to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Campbell is believed to have engaged in inappropriate sexual behavior with a female juvenile between 2004 and 2008.
The news release further states that Campbell will remain in custody until his trial. A trial date has not yet been set.
The crime carries up to a life prison sentence and a $250,000 fine.
