An area school teacher has received the prestigious honor of achieving National Board Certification.
Andi Ward teaches Literacy, Reading and Language Arts in the Summit School District.
Andi is a 6th grade teacher, and one of only 111 South Dakota teachers to be nationally board certified.
National Board Certification is achieved through a rigorous, performance-based, peer-reviewed assessment of a teacher’s teaching skills and content knowledge. The certification process can take up to three weeks to complete.
