Several people were evacuated from a mobile home in Watertown after a fire broke out early Saturday morning.

Firefighters were dispatched to a residence located on the city’s northwest side after the occupants of the home were awakened by indoor smoke alarms.

When firemen arrived, they learned that the 10 family members had made it out safety and were being sheltered at a nearby residence.

Firefighters removed skirting from the trailer, at which time they discovered smoke and flames coming from some heat tape wrapped around pipes underneath the bathroom area.

The flames also spread to some insulation and a section of flooring underneath the bathroom.

The American Red Cross was called in to provide assistance to the occupants of the home.
