An area educational professional has published a new book which depicts certain things that typically go on in the lives of students which oftentimes go unnoticed by those who are closest to them.
The book, entitled “Cardboard Confessions,” was recently written by Mitch Reed, who currently serves as principal at Deubrook Elementary School in Toronto, but originated from a school sociology project while he was a teacher in the nearby Waverly-South Shore School District. The project involved students placing answers to questions in a cardboard box in the school lunch room. Mitch explains how he initially came up with the unique idea, which eventually led to what would become a unique life-changing experience for him…

Mitch goes on to further explain how the class sociology project unfolded…

Although the majority of the questions asked of students were not out of the ordinary, some of the answers submitted by those responding were anything but typical as Mitch explains…

One unique thing about the project is it potentially allows students the opportunity to expand on their actual responses or feelings to the questions that were previously brought forth for debate…

“Cardboard Confessionals” is expected to be available online in early February and in local bookstores soon after that.
