Grant County Highway Maintenance Crews Kept Busy this Past Week

If you like winter, last week’s off-and-on snowfall which impacted the regional area was probably something you’ve been looking forward to for a long time. For those who make a living maintaining streets and roadways after each measurable snowfall, our recent weather pattern gave many of those individuals the opportunity to get out at various times during the past week, as well. Outside of this past week, though, area maintenance crews have not been called into service that often to remove snow and ice from area roadways. What actually lies ahead for the remainder of this year’s winter season remains to be seen. So far, though, roadside maintenance crews have not been called upon very often, which may be a good thing when to comes to more accurately balancing the budget and planning for the year ahead.
