Water Emergency Declared in Webster

The city of Webster has issued a water emergency for the entire community until further notice.

A formal notice was issued by the Day County Sheriff’s office late yesterday (Monday) afternoon asking people of the community to not use any water at all unless it’s an absolute emergency.

Local officials would not comment publicly as to what the problem actually entailed, but noted every effort was being made to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Local officials, though, did indicate it would take a considerable amount of time to re-fill the city’s water towers and any water usage during that time would actually further delay the entire process.

KMSD Radio hopes to provide further information on this story as soon as it becomes available.
