Organizers involved with the recent “Quarter Auction” fundraiser at Milbank High School to benefit this year’s annual cancer walk say the event turned out to be an overwhelming success for everyone involved. The event, which was sponsored by the “Bulldogs Fighting Cancer Team,” was held last Friday evening, April 6th, with a large number of people turning out to help support the cause. As you can imagine, a large amount of quarters were brought in for the event ahead of time for people to use during the auction…
Since the “Quarter Auction” was actually a first time event, per se, local organizers initially were not quite sure how things would go, but in the end, everything worked out to perfection as Heidi explains…
One of the biggest challenges with coordinating the event was having to deal with Mother Nature.
The event was postponed from its original date of March 23rd because of inclement weather, but once things got going everything went pretty much according to plan.
