The Tiospa Zina Tribal School located in Agency Village on the Lake Traverse Reservation called off classes Tuesday due to a threat being made against the school.
On Monday afternoon, officials posted on the school’s facebook page that a threat had been made to the school.
Neither the school nor tribal police would provide specific details about the nature of the threat,
but felt it was in everyone’s best interest for classes to be canceled under the circumstances.
Last Thursday, a custodial worker from Enemy Swim Day School, which is also located on the Lake Traverse Reservation was struck by a bullet while outside doing a perimeter check. The worker is currently listed in stable condition at an Aberdeen hospital.
