Wimbledon 2021: Djokovic reaches semifinals, Hurkacz defeats Federer in upset


World No. 1 Novak Djokovic, of Serbia, easily defeated Hungarian Marton Fucsovics to advance to the semifinals of Wimbledon 2021 on Wednesday in London. Serbia’s Djokovic won the quarterfinal match 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 in 2 hours, 17 minutes to advance to his 41st Grand Slam semifinal. two wins shy of tying the men’s singles title record. Switzerland’s Roger Federer exited the tournament after a straight-sets upset by Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz. Hurkacz defeated Federer 6-3, 7-6, 6-0 Wednesday to advance to the semifinals, where he will face Berrettini or Auger Aliassime on Friday in London.
