MLB Playoffs: Braves tie series 1-1; Diamondbacks take 2-0 series lead


* The Arizona Diamondbacks are just one win away from sweeping the NLCS after a 4-2 win against the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 2 of the best-of-five series in Los Angeles.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. knocked in the third run of the first inning, then added an insurance run in the sixth with a solo home run. Zac Gallen picked up the win while holding the Dodgers to two earned runs in 5 1/3 innings.

Game 3 of the NLCS between Arizona and LA will take place at Chase Field in Phoenix on Wednesday.

* The Atlanta Braves rallied to tie their series against the Philadelphia Phillies 1-1 with a 5-4 win in Game 2 of NLDS. Two-run homers by Travis d’Arnaud and Austin Riley and a game-ending double play helped the Braves even the series Monday night.

Game 3 of the NLDS between the Braves and Phillies will take place Wednesday at Philadelphia.
