A stabbing incident in Watertown on New Year’s Eve led to the arrests of three men on aggravated assault charges.
At around 5 p.m., Watertown police officers were called to a report of a disturbance in the 100 block of North Broadway. Upon arrival, officers found one man with a cut on his neck and another with a cut on his hand. Both men were treated by local paramedics at the scene.
Rodney Crawford, age 50, Ornorfio Lyons, age 55, and Todd Lyons, age 38, were each charged with aggravated assault and are currently being held in the Codington County Detention Center on $5,000 cash bond.
An investigation by Watertown police revealed the men had apparently become involved in a prolonged discussion over property when the situation escalated and became violent.
