Public Forum on Wind Energy Systems Held in Milbank

A large gathering of people turned out yesterday (Monday) at the Grant County Courthouse in Milbank for a public forum on future wind energy development within the county. The forum, specifically focused on whether certain changes should be made to the county’s current land use ordinance as it pertains to wind energy systems. Todd Kays, Executive Director for the First District Association of Local Governments, based in Watertown, served as the facilitator for the event. During the forum, numerous comments were presented both in favor of and against future wind energy development in Grant County.
